Residents across Payne County will be heading to the polls Tuesday to decide a county commissioner seat among other items on the ballot.

Voters will choose between Noel Bagwell and Zachary Cavett for the Payne County Commissioner District 1 seat.

Bagwell won his primary in February while Cavett ran unopposed.

Residents in Cushing will also choose between Evert Rossiter and James Roy Pickard for the title of mayor.

In another race, Joe Manning Jr. will also face James Ree for the Cushing City Commission Office 2 seat.

In addition to those races, voters will also decide the fate of a $41.5 million school bond.

Officials say the bond would be used for remodeling school buildings in the district, building a new middle school and making other improvements to the sites.

The bond would raise property taxes of people in the area.
